I do like a good falsetto, here's one to add to the list, Astronauts, etc. the work of Oakland singer-songwriter Anthony Ferraro, whom comes to my attention with the smoldering highs of "Gravity".
At face value a simple piano pop ballad with Anthony's crooning vocals melting hearts amongst intimate lyrics of betrayal becomes yet more sumptuous and melodic with the addition of synths and a chorus that hits straight at your core.
Earlier track "Sadie" expands on the experimental soundscapes with a dreamy pattern of piano, synths and drums catapulting soulful vocals with addictive results. Both tracks are included on Astronauts, etc.'s debut EP, also entitled Sadie and is released via Hit City USA on September 23rd - pre-order.
