Nope, this is nothing to do with Hear'say, everyone's favourite Popstars rejects but Hearsays, an (according to Google Translate and a Soundcloud page) indie-pop band from Fukuoka, Japan who last week released their debut EP A Little Bird Told Me via Dead Funny Records and have a couple of samples to stream that are ready to steal your heart.
The simple, dreamy, ear-catching fuzz pop of "When I'm Wrong" is a fine introduction to their energetic, infectious hooks and carefree songcraft. I'm reminded much of The History of Apple Pie and their combination of The Breeders and Brit Pop, it sounds almost made for summertime with a nice cold beer or three, "Missing" is another guitar saturated beauty with a long melodic intro leading to delicately balanced vocals and percussion.
So two tracks perfectly combining sweetly sung nostalgia and the right amount of noise to delicious results. You'll probably want to snap up a copy of the EP via the Dead Funny Bandcamp then.
