I've labelled this post as a new music one but Sister Crystals are actually a band I have written about before under their previous guise as Magic City, their new name seems to have brought a fuller, dynamic sound to the group too (and an expansion from duo to quartet), where earlier EP's Little Bits languid, nostalgic fuzz/dream-pop morphs with shimmering psychedelia and hypnotic guitar effects.
Vocalist Lauren Whitacre's sweet vocals float effortlessly over motorik rhythms, her fragile, breathy voice brings calming goodness to this beautifully melodic treat.
"For So Long" is the first single from Sister Crystals' debut LP due this Spring via Walk-In Records / Feel Trip.
