Lizard Kisses #2 - Loving Creatures

Facebooklizardkisses.tumblr.com

Another band returning to this blog after an extended break are Brooklyn duo Lizard Kisses, a band I fell for in the middle of 2011 with a couple of soft, dreamy EP's and a gorgeous mini album Tiny Island Teeth...

The band return to my radar with a soon to be released four track limited 3" CD via WeePop. With stronger melody and production in evidence the band still retain their soothing, comforting aesthetic with simple, melancholic melodies and beautiful delicate vocals that are sure to leave you feeling just that little bit better.

"Over and Over" summing this up with a blissful, woozy ambience and contradicting it's name "The Storm" is perfectly restrained, combining the duo's languid lullabies of floating, ethereal vocals, slow-motion drums and fuzzily wrapped nostalgic guitar with effortless grace. "Stones" is perhaps their most ambitious track to date (and longest to), with strong surf guitar textures meandering around Cory Siegler's harmonies

Earlier track "Close" is said to be taken from a 'forthcoming record' which gives something else to be excited for...
