Quite a short post, I've been a bit busy the past few days so apologies for the slower posts. Anyway, Brooklyn's Widowspeak debut 7" came to my attention recently, released by the ever impressive Captured Tracks. "Harsh Realm" is a simple enough number but works wonderfully thanks to an atmospheric, lazy vibe all soaked up in the honey-toned vocal of Molly Hamilton.
Down-tempo yet dreamy, managing to sound both melancholy and blissful simultaneously. One for the smoky, hazy and sleepy summer afternoons or a Saturday night party come-down.
