Echo Lake are from London, they make psychedelic, dreamy tunes with ethereal vocals. That description doesn't really do them justice as they're also so much more than that, with soft hushed and hazy melodies playing over a bed of droning, whirling guitars-centric shoegaze with percussion adding to an ambient yet dense feeling much akin to My Bloody Valentine.
They've an EP called 'Young Silence' due on valentines day and I'm very much looking forward to that. For now, you can listen to a couple of tracks from it below which will give you a general idea of just how much potential this lot have. They played a show with Still Corners last year and I do have to wonder why I didn't get to that now. Ones to watch in 2011. You betcha.
