I'm sure the obvious comparison for Ontario based Hotkid are White Stripes in reverse, they remind me of some early Blood Red Shoes which I guess is just as easy a suggestion.
They aren't exactly a new band having formed five or so year ago, but it was their newest single "Yours and Mine" which led to my discovery of them. It's a gritty adreneline filled rock & roll juggernaunt which will blow the cobwebs off hangover and is highly recommened. Listen to it below:
