Straight into the music today, time is a little on the short side! "Bodega Run" is the debut single from New York trio Crying and is taken from a forthcoming cassette release Get Olde due via Double Double Whammy later this summer.
What strikes you immediately about the track is the space invaders synth overdrive that propels it at a furious pace and makes you think you’re playing a level of Super Mario, amongst are some pretty meaty, riff-tastic guitar hooks and equally spritely drums which set alongside the deliciously sweet, fragile vocal of Elaiza Santos fill you with a giddy, lovesick feeling that can do nothing but charm and enchant. Simply but, "Bodega Run" is an energetic, smile inducing debut of intent… Here’s looking forward to the rest of that EP.
