You can only assume whilst listening to Summer Camp's new track "Fresh" that's there's a perfect homage to Pulp being played out, one of the things that will live in the memory of everyone who saw the recent come-back shows of Sheffield's finest was the big stage drape with the words 'Do You Remember The First Time' proudly displayed before every gig. It's the same phrase which rings loudest on the London based duo's come-back single, a luscious track made for the Summer months with a wonderful 80's, soft-disco groove, twinkling melodic synths and the beautiful, natural vocals of Elizabeth Sankey causing butterfly's all over - somewhat like the charms of first love then.
Summer Camp's second album, entitled Summer Camp is due September 9th via Moshi Moshi with a show at Heaven on November 27th also in the diary - tickets.
