Keelin is Caoilfhionn Birley, a singer/songwriter based in Manchester, her first studio recording "Day Dreamer (Who Are You?)" is going to be the main focus of this post - though her Soundcloud page contains a whole host of covers and demo originals for you to further delve into - a track which, as its title may suggest, is a soft, hazy gem perfect to soundtrack the more melancholic moments of this heatwave, her soft, tender vocals melt your soul as piano twinkles gently caress at your heart.
Heading to YouTube, a demo track "Even Though I May..." similarly combines stark and uncomplicated arrangements (this time with added guitar) with Keelin's gentle, pensive vocals, both are utterly beautiful - Keelin states that she's "working on debut EP - watch this space" - don't worry, I shall.
