The UK is seemingly finally coming around to the intoxicating talent of Agnes Obel, with a stunning album Aventine recently released and a sold-out date at Union Chapel there is a return to the UK planned for Easter (including Agnes' largest UK show to date at London's Barbican on April 19th).
The tour news comes with a timely share of a new video for one the albums finest moments, "Dorian", here recorded live as with the earlier released video to "The Curse". It beguiles with seeming ease and is impeccably constructed, a pure, majestic, reflective wonder that should surely see even more fall under its spell.
Aventine is available via PIAS now - expect it to feature in my favourite albums of the year posts next month...
