Rachel Sermanni #2 - Various Things
I've been looking for an excuse to post about Rachel Sermanni since I was blown away by her mesmerising performance at The Great Escape (read my review here) and the appearance of a few rather lovely videos is as good a reason as any.
Firstly, here's an interview / track she did at (possibly the windiest spot in Brighton) during the TGE, you can see more here:
I've posted a live recording from this gig before, here is another one, "Waltz":
Finally, you should head over here and download / watch a clip of her performing "The Fog", utterly stunning this one so don't miss out. A darker and more urgent track than possilby all of her other tracks but it's just as wonderful, Rachel shows some wonderful aggressive guitar-work and then of course, there is her voice. If you've not yet paid attention to Rachel, change that.
She's recording at the moment, looking forward to hearing whatever the end result is! Then of course some shows in London or at EotR or Glasto please! I'm sure this won't be the last time you see this talented young Scottish singer-songwriter here.
